Description:

Inspired by the Nasher Matisse paintings. I've tried to echo his loose but decisive brushstrokes (with a mouse!) and lush odalisque settings. Wallpaper or upholstery, maybe.

hootenannit says: Thank you, Moira Rae! The odalisque paintings did make me think of Ottoman Empire opulence - onion domes and peacocks and such, with carved, arched windows looking out over gardens. I'm glad you saw that, too!

moirarae says: Love this! Very Islamic, middle eastern look to it - reminding me of mosques and minarets! With glimpses of flowers and peacock feathers. Lovely!

resdesigns says: Very nice interpretation of the contest theme. I love the way you used the colors, the style, and the brushwork, as well as the way it looks as yardage. Nice work!
