The name comes from seeing small puddles of water with rainbows in them. When I was little, I thought this was somehow connected to rainbows in the sky until my dad told me it was oil in the water causing the rainbows. Purchasing a swatch of a design in your desired Spoonflower fabric or wallpaper is recommended so that you can get an idea of the color and feel of the actual design printed on fabric and/or wallpaper.
