Description:

This is my spider - abstract and kind of friendly, the only way I could tolerate it. Hand drawn and digitally recolored.

retrorudolphs says: Love your abstract spiders, like Victoria I also see pumpkins and think it's a very pretty, useful and versatile design.

victori...

victorialasher says: Love this in the yard view. I didn't see the spider at first, which is a good thing in my opinion; but I saw them as I looked closer. They are abstract enough no to make me too jittery. I also see pumpkins, so a good Halloween fabric all around.

su_g says: Lovely interplay between the block and textured colors! I did have look hard to 'get' the spiders - so I'd say you've done well with your 'abstract' project in this, and that may well contribute to the way I see a design before I see spiders - a good thing for use-friendly fabrics!

inscrib...

inscribed_here says: Wonderful orange! This is clever and pretty and yet just a little bit creepy. From a distance the flowers make me think of dozens of little eyes staring out at me - rather like a spider, actually. Great work!

coggon_(roz_robinson) says: *hate* spiders (known as evilers, in our house!), but *love* this..... perhaps because I've convinced myself it is just pumpkins really ;-)

rhondad...

rhondadesigns says: I think this design is like one of those wonderful pictures that intrigue the mind and puzzle the perception into seeing one image at first glance and then sometimes another on a closer look. I guess, in my mind, pumpkins and spiders both speak of Halloween. My Dad grew pumpkins when we were kids and you had to be careful where you put your hands when harvesting them, in case a spider was coming along for the ride!

ottomanbrim says: Thank you so much for all the nice comments Sharon, Victoria, Tara and Rhonda!!! Although I did try to make an abstracted spider I can see the pumpkins that you referred to Rhonda.

rhondad...

rhondadesigns says: Your warm Autumn harvest of pumpkins has just a hint of leggy spiders hiding in the design! This is a good one for arachnophobes to gently ease into a spider infested design zone!
