A typical Japanese Yabane ("arrow feathers") pattern, with a metallic appearance. A similar, but 'real' metallic fabric was used on Queen Apailana's kimono. In case you're not familiar with Spoonflower, note that the fabric isn't really metallic. It's just printed with solid, non-metallic colors made to look as if it was metallic. I recommend ordering this fabric in cotton silk (which is shiny like satin) or, if you're looking for a cheaper and wider alternative, in Organic Cotton Sateen, which isn't as shiny but still has an appealing sheen. Also, the colors will print very well on those two fabric types. In case you would like to order this fabric in different colors or at a different scale, please don't hesitate to send me a message! I also have some products featuring this design at my Zazzle Store ( http://www.zazzle.com/bonniephantasm*)! If you were always wondering how different colors print on the various fabrics that Spoonflower offers, please do have a look at my website where I have quite a few comprehensive photos of color swatches printed on various fabrics!
