owlandchickadee says: Thanks so much Rhonda! That sounds amazing! I brought my kids to an aviary where there were many flying free and would land and eat from your hand - they loved it! Yes they are noisy aren't they? :) (especially for such little birds!)

owlandchickadee says: Thanks Sylvie! It's funny you mentioned that about the name because when I first posted this design, I had a hard time decided between "budgie" and "parakeet" for the title! We have a pair as pets and call them budgies, but noticed many people also called them parakeets. I eventually decided to use "parakeet" in the title and "budgie" in the key words, but I'm always wondering if I should switch them around! :D

rhondadesigns says: The dynamic layout of this design is very eye-catching! I love the cheeky curiosity of these beautiful budgerigars! In some areas of Australia you can see huge flocks of these pretty birds wheeling across the sky! It is an awesome, and noisy, sight!

art_on_fabric says: In Africa, these birds are called ' Budgies'. They are bred in aviaries and don't fly wild. These here are beautiful! :^D ~ Sylvie.
