About the Design

A tropical pseudo tie dye look featuring elongated hexagonal boxes wrapped in vines and filled with tiny forms, two kinds of octagonal shapes, and lots of dots and stripes between the figures. The tie dye look was created by hand drawing this design on black paper with "Souffle" paint pens. After the central figures were drawn in, the black paper was colored with water color fiber tip pens. No actual color showed up on the black paper, as a result. But the ink was in there. Finally I drew the dots and stripes onto the area I had colored in "invisible" fiber tip pen. The pale yellow Souffle pen, also being water soluble, picked up the colors of the paper below them and blended it into its own ink color as it dried. The result is not a computer effect, but a line that actually changes colors for different millimeters of the page. (file L93v2, #1159812)
