Thank you Carole!
oooh, so shimmery. I can see this on silk or on sateen. Different colors being highlighted depending on one wears this in dark or light or with some other color. Would make a great dress I think. Just lovely.
Thank you Rhonda! I've loved the impressionist texture with this one. It has a lot of natural earthy tints to it, that gives me that feeling for the pictorial quilts, but I hadn't thought of it providing such benefit for the blender fabric in border and sashings. It might be fun to see it on silk and lining a vest, or even as a lining inside a handbag. The design definitely has its own personality.
The soft and pretty colours of this gorgeous design have the look of a rain-blurred landscape viewed through the windscreen of a moving vehicle! You mentioned pictorial quilts, but I think that It would make a great blender print for many different patchwork projects, Joan! Quilters often struggle to find attractive, commercially available, fabrics to add to the "palette" of prints being used in a quilt project, particularly for borders and sashings!
It is printed on the Kona Cotton.
Beautiful! What fabric is that in the flicker image?

Wow.............those are nice compliments. Thank you all. I have sort of fallen in love with it in print.............It is actually a REALLY large scale design, so I had to reduce it and see what I felt about the yard size..........then reduce it and check again...........it finally hit that point that I felt a buyer would get enough "sections" of repeat, that they could do a lot of mixes of color from different cuts.........So if anyone envisions something large scale............I can take it back up too. Isn't it funny how something abstract can have a way it speaks to you???
You are on such a roll with your wildly impressionist layers of colors. I love it.
Ooooh, I love this. It is both beautiful and fun!
So pretty! The gold tomes and little swirls of color make be think of Gustav Klimt, but yours is far more abstract and feminine.
I love how it looks in print. It seems like it has good potential for filler on art or landscape quilts.
I love it - it is so abstract! It reminds me of a painter's palette after heavy use, I think I can even see the rims left behind by the water (or turpentine?) glass! Or are they just painterly doodles? For sure this painter was an impressionist...
