Thanks so much Deborah, for your great comment and feedback - I just had another look at the wallpaper and I think I'd be worried that some of these apples were going to fly right out and zonk me on the head...
Amy is right. There is a wonderful 3D effect to this design. Bravo! I really like the wallpaper view.
Thanks for the close two-way reading Cal - and your Newton reference (hadn't consciously occurred to me!!), I am truly very happy that this design works so well - it transferred well to fabric too - will add a pic as soon as I can.
Such a dynamic piece Su! I can read it a couple of ways...on the one hand I can feel the falling of the apples and sense of gravity (Newton was right...ha!). On the other hand they seem to be rising like balloons. I love the extreme depth of field and movement.
Thanks so much Janiece and Amy for your wonderful comments on the dimensional effects, I truly appreciate them! (Janiece your talk of apple cobbler made me hungry!)
Su, this is so amazing...I feel like I'm looking at the design through 3-D glasses, you achieved some really lovely effects with this design!
Very nice apple design. My daughter just yesterday had a boat load of apples from a friends tree that was overflowing. She made me some apple cobbler and I helped with the peeling. lol That was some awesome cobbler with free apples a plenty. Your design makes me wish I'd taken some home with me. lol The dimension created from the mottled background against the clear apples gives this design a very unique quality.
Pamela and Rhonda thank you so much for the great feedback - especially about the depth!
