I know what you mean Andrea! I was thinking the same thing. Just got this fabric to make some napkins for my etsy site.
Posted over 4 years ago.
Mmm. Why am I thinking about a plastic bib and drawn butter when I look at this fabric? I can't imagine why. But I am thinking of an adult bib or apron.
Wah, wah. Now I'm getting hungry.
Thank you Rhonda! That's very sweet of you to say!
The lobsters on your design seem to be on the move as they click their claws in a cross manner! Maybe they don't fancy being the subject of tasty recipes and salivating diners! You have created a marvelous, dynamic pattern Dianne!
Thanks Victoria, I will surely be making things from this design, myself! Makes me long for summer!! If you ever want to make that sundress, I'd be happy to adjust the size to whatever you'd like :)
Fun!! Makes me want to put on a sundress (made from this design in a bigger size) and head to the beach for a clam and lobster bake. I can see lobster bibs, and napkins, placemats, and all sorts of things made from this.
Thank you Su!!
This is great! Still looking pretty dity at a yardage view and I love your colors, so bright and cheerful. Your notes covering everything show us all how to so it!
Thank you Maria, I thought I should make the red the main color since nothing says "lobsters" like the color red :)
it is so perfect to get the lobsters in white and the back in red! your repeat make a wonderfull ditsy.
I Love these little lobstahs, wonderful design!
Thank you MaJo!
Thanks Grace, I really like your entry for this week, too!
Great design! Simple but striking.
so eye-catching! your lobsters look so alive.
Thank you very much Crissy!
Neat idea. I love the colors and repeat. Awesome job!
Thanks Amy, this was a fun pattern to do.
Awesome repeat, Dianne! And the limited color palette is perfect!
Haha, cool one!
Thanks Wren, I think I'm going to make a set of napkins myself. I love you shop, by the way, great designs! ✿
Thanks Sheila! Yes, this print does scream a picnic doesn't it?
Thanks Francine, I tried the lobsters in red but the print didn't show that vibrant lobster red they way I wanted to, so I switched it and loved it.
Complex overlaps! I hope you sell a lot of lobsta bibs and napkins.
So fun and graphic! Love it! Great movement! I am hearing "Lobsta killa" from Julia and Julie, haha
This is really fun! Your unexpected colour reversal gives it big punch!
Thanks Isabella, I'm a big print kind of gal so I find the ditsy prints challenging. I'm pretty proud of how this one came out.
This is a super effective design, Dianne. It's one of those rare patterns that could work as a feature or a blender. Great job!
Yeah, Raven they do add a little pop to this ditsy, huh? Thanks!
Nice touch with the black feelers. Yummy!
A very striking design, your lobster shapes are lovely!
All I could think of when designing for this contest was how I wished it was "summah" already and how fun it would be to drive up to Maine and have some "lobstahs".
Cute and a great overall texture/pattern from a distance. Love that it's white on red too!
Ha, yeah Ms. E I was thinking lobster party pattern for sure. Have to make some fun summer napkins, too :)
So adorable! And of course, the perfect material for lobster bibs.
coool! :) xxx
