A tessellation of an old-fashioned style of telephone. These dials would be for just the 10 original digits but other types of dial had extra holes for asterisk/star and hash/sharp characters. The letter to number assignments also vary from region to region. Note that even such minimal dial details partially ruin the underlying symmetry - as would a colouring scheme. Currently displaying a simple black and white outline version in 8" by 6" repeat. Other colours, stylings, sizes and orientations are available on request and you can even ask for a combination of several designs together
Any apparent jaggedness or glitching in the repeat is caused by a Spoonflower bug which squashes the image when applying rulers. See their undamaged version of the repeated image via the embed link.
