Supposedly the inspiration for the urban dystopia envisioned in Blade Runner and the slums of Gotham in Batman Begins, The Walled City of Kowloon in Hong Kong was at one time purported as being the most densely populated place on earth with an est 50,000 souls crammed into a mere 6.5 acre enclave. The city was demolished in 1994.
