By day I am an upstanding mosaic designer for New Ravenna Mosaics on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. By night I am a superdork drawing whatever weird things pop into my head. By morning I'm exhausted.

Visit this designer's shop

Description:

Yikes and Egads! Monsters have invaded Tokyo yet again!! Hoards of hairy and heinous horrors are running amok among the city's skyscrapers. Look, it's Yikes and Egads! Monsters have invaded Tokyo yet again!! Hoards of hairy and heinous horrors are running amok among the city's skyscrapers. Look, it's the not at all cute combo of Cat-R-pillar and Baby No-face! Oh no! It's C3P-osaur, the terrifying tin titan. Groan! it's Slothra, the savagely slow scaler of cities! And then there are all of those other monstrosities too grotesque and generic to find catchy names for! Alas, who will save our fair city? ( note to residents of Tokyo. Sorry I have yet again imperiled your beautiful city with unimaginable danger. Also, sorry for adding so many extra buildings to an already crowded area. I needed more monster platforms. My bad.)

whimzwhirled says: This is a great design. Made me laugh because it reminds me of the old movies where the mouths don't move in sync with the english dubbed words. Those always crack me up.

anniedeb

anniedeb says: On this particular project, I cannot say I did not cut the cloth. I did cut and I used the excess cloth to make a trim for the pillowcase. This close up shot shows the wonderful detail in ceanirminger's design and the quality of Spoonflower printing. The pillow form is 26" in length -- a regular standard sleeping pillow.

anniedeb says: Fabric design "Oh No, Tokyo!!!" by Spoonflower designer Ceanirminger is printed on one yard of Spoonflower Kona cotton. I made a case for a large pillow for my grandson to use as a reading pillow. Using the pillow vertically emphasizes the urban structures. The design is fabulous, the artwork fun to study.

dhawktx

dhawktx says: Cean, if you made a coordinating yard that had stripes of some of the primary color sets (running the length of the fabric), peeps could get them to use for cuffs, collars and other details of garments made with the main fabric, or use them for quilting strips around blocks of the main fabric. You could make one selection of primaries, one of coordinating yellows, one of reds, etc. Don't forget a set of greens just for Slothra!

ceanirminger says: Thank you so much everybody, you are all the best! This was a fun one and one day will be the next installment of my niece and nephew adventures. I left some room to pop them in for battle but ran out of time, so one day soon there will be some heroic children on the scene to save poor Tokyo from further monster mischief.
