Pyramids and ziggurats were very much in vogue globally at the alleged time of the fabled city of Atlantis. Whether the imaginary ex-inhabitants used their aerial platforms for blood sacrifices, beacon fires, orchestral performances, brightly coloured gazebos with decorative lanterns hosting wild parties, carefully cultivated roof-top gardens or swimming pools is a matter of variant personal mythologies.
Unfortunately, at the normal Spoonflower viewing scales, you can't see the details of the pathway paving slabs nor the staircases on each side very well. A slightly larger, more zoomable and more strongly coloured version of the path design is here.
