A variation of the wooden fan array design seen on colonial furniture which is called a shell, takes center stage in one of the columns of this red, raspberry, and cream vertical stripe design. Between the heart/spade/shells are stripes of macrame style Celtic knots. The two stripes are laced together by zig zag lines, that form diamonds where they cross each other. Over all this looks very demure and colonial in a retro 2012 way.
