A Victorian/Edwardian valentine withe horizontal rows of hearts linked together by a fine blue web, and pointing into a zig zag 1880's-inspired diamond. Of course they are blue, not pink, for all the true blue lovers. Why should everything valentine be pink? It does not have to be!
As for the shades of blue--my monitor shows the pale blues way too bright and the medium blue way too light. This fabric has a good (read normal) dynamic range in print that it doesn't have on my monitor.
