This reminds me a great deal of fabric I have seen on 1930's dresses though I can't liken anything specific (such as popular colors or specific motifs) to actual 1930's prints. It just has the feeling of fabric I have seen from that time. As such I suspect it would work very well in pseudo retro projects such as theatrical costuming, period quilting, or just as an old fashioned feel. As far as color, my monitor is showing the lavender as a brighter purple than the printed version. The printed version is more a grayed lavender with a raspberry center and what appear to be black diamonds between each circle (though the black is really navy blue).
