Thanks! No, I'm thinking that with the mirrors on it makes it more of an artpiece than something truly functional. If I did wash it, I'm sure I would do it by hand. I still haven't decided what I'll actually do with the mirrored fabric. My plan next is to mirror a yard or two of the BLUE version of that same design...

Well, Durga is quite the fashion plate! I love this fabric, & the mirrors are really fantastic! Can it still be washed with the mirrors on?
Thanks! Yes, I hand cut each of the hundreds of mirrors, and used a chemical solutions to back each one in the silvering. Labor-intensive :). But I love the final result...
I see you got the little mirrors on there - glue? I totally agree that it 'finishes' the fabric, a great idea.

Prayer To The Nile (Black) :
This is my little companion Durga, modeling "Prayer to The Nile" in linen cotton. Modified by me using handmade mirrors...
Thanks.. I bought this for myself but haven't yet bought what I intend to adhere to it...mirrors and old brass east indian ornaments. It translated really well to the linen-cotton blend...
