The nice and not so nice actions of a toddler amongst a menagerie of alphabetized animals. This is going to be a christmas present to my daughter Elsie, who excels at animal sounds but needs some real help with her alphabet. Now hopefully we can turn her owl sounds into vowel sounds! In order to make the pages as large as possible I have sized this so that the whole book fits onto the 56" and wider fabrics. I'll soon upload a version scaled to quilting weight yardage

This is so wonderful, not just for Elsie, but for any child. Gorgeous drawings. I hope you do take it around to publishers. Your style reminds me a little of Jan Brett, one of my very favorite childrens' book author/artists. (Oh yes, I do like it that your instructions are legible on zoom - the layout is great.)

This so lovely - Elsie is going to have such an amazing legacy of her childhood with such a fabulous mum like you!

How sweet! A meaningful contest for you...you have to start doing books!
Brilliant as usual!!! Yeah I'm thinking you need to get this published ... & I would surely buy both cloth & paper versions
Beautiful illustrations and brilliant design!
Love love love love love! You really should get your work published! Your art blows me away every time! Your daughter will absolutely treasure this!
Great work! it make me fantasy!
Thanks everybody! This was fun to do, and any typos will be fixed in AM. I was cramming trying to get this drawn it time and ordered with time for me to badly hand sew it together ( though thanks for the offer, Gillian), and spelling went by the wayside. I guess that will be the next book I do. "Why can' t momma spell?" Hah!
just looked up "zerbers" and its a slang word for blowing a raspberry on your baby's tummy...ha! LOVE.
Beautiful illustrations- love it! Although I think "oggles" should be "ogles", I LOVE the Dr. Seussness of the word "zerbers"...so stinkin' cute!
Wow, this is hilarious and gorgeous at the same time! What a sweet gift.
wahoo! you have to visit a printer and make a real book!

I've always said you should write a children's book.; and this one is brilliant. Hope it's just the first of many. They don't all have to be cloth.

Cean, this is a fabulous, fun little book, illustrated with flair and finesse! Exploring it's pages will lure any child into the realm of books and the love of word-play!
What a great gift for your daughter - and indeed for any other child! Beautiful - charming! Zerbers a zebra, bwa ha ha!
Just priceless, she will love it!
Ha ha!!! Awesome! As the parent of 3 under 5, I identify with this in so many ways! :)
Beyond the beyond gorgeous and genius!
just totally perfect xxx
Great layout and clear instructions and I love the alternative, letter appropriate, images that you have used to decorate the border of each page. Generally it's really difficult to choose between yaks and yo-yos but in this book we don't have to!
Elsie is brave, cheeky and incredibly cute. Beautiful work as always, Cean!
This is brilliant and omg, the reason I didn't enter was trying to map out which pages needed to go in which order. Just fantastic.
This is amazing!
