This artist creates a Cuisinart of abstract mirror designs borrowing bits from Victorian, Edwardian, paisley, and art nouveau. She also draws orphan cars, and adapts a few very old ads. Most of her work is hand drawn with twists, vines & Celtic knots.

Crisp, bold, black lines (with delicate white outlines) slice through the tropical undergrowth of a forest floor that looks as if it had been cut via woodblock or linoleum block. It was actually drawn with fiber tip pens on white card stock. You are looking at a negative of that freehand art. Which makes sense. What is a woodblock but a negative of an image? Lots of halftones and texture in this offering. Even the seemingly solid green leaves are a fade from one shade of spring green to another.

Gee, thank you Whimz. This is one of approximately 2000 lost children designs I have. I made it in 2011, proofed it, and never set it for sale.
Seems I didn't set almost any of the black ones in that batch for sale. No clue why.
Now that I have my summer vacation--no work again until August--yay-- I am trying to root out where these lost children are hiding.
The black designs are nothing more than negative versions of the same designs I made in positive. But you are right, they do look bold and different. (And they are always bigger than their positive counterparts because they don't work in small scale).

This is so pretty. I love it when you use black. I love all your stuff but when you use black they reach out and wrap their twirly vines around your head and say "look at me". lol
