Close up of a semi-wild or semi-tame sulfur (or sulphur) crested cockatoo, keen inhabitant of our backyard. Best as a Fat Quarter on 54" wide fabric (e.g. linen-cotton canvas). For four (4) to a yard of 54" fabric see 'MULTIPLE Cockie cute: 4 to one 54" YARD' (centered repeat, 150 ppi).

Thanks for the lovely comment on 'Cockie cute' Amy - he is a very handsome (but also mischievous) bird!

Oh, look at that beautiful creature - I can't believe these live in your backyard.....you lucky girl!!!!
Thanks so much for the great feedback Joan, Deborah, Sue Ellen and Rhonda; my husband (who took the picture) is so pleased and thanks you all too! This cockatoo doesn't quite live in our backyard, he's more of a frequent visitor, and Rhonda you're so right about the split personality: one minute asking to be admired, the next trying to tear your house down... This was actually designed for a 15" decal but I saw that it would fit onto a linen-cotton canvas FQ too & would, I think, print well on that fabric with the light-fast pigment inks perfect for picture printing.

This fantastic photo of your cockatoo should translate well into a fabric print. You can see the wicked, piratical gleam in this cocky chap's eye! If he is anything like any of the cockatoos that I have known, he will be alternating between charming you with sweet talk and muttering dire threats! These birds have a real, sardonic, sense of humour!
If this looks anywhere as good on the fabric as it looks here, this will be dynamite framed on the wall!
This cockatoo lives in your backyard? He's so very beautiful but he doesn't look like he needs anyone to tell him that. Linen-cotton canvas is the perfect fabric for him.
It does look like a smile, but is really a complaint: where's the food????
