Something cheeky and cheerful with and for snakes. Line art & brushwork. © Su Schaefer 2011.
Most people fear snakes - with good reason, especially in Australia where we have so many harmful ones. But most snakes fear us even more and will get out of our way quick smart if we let them. So I wanted to do something cheeky and cheerful with and for snakes and this design is the result.

I like this crayon-colorful version of your stripy serpents ... I don't know how I missed it before!
I do hope I haven't given anyone the wrong idea about snakes...? :) Can't get the board or boxer shorts out of my head now... someone asked when I was going to start drawing "Bob wearing ..." -maybe now is the time!

I have a collection of bronze cobra candle stick holders ((14 so far) and some turquoise Majolica dessert plates, so I am thinking napkins or even table cloth in this cute print.
These sinuous stripes are very eye-catching, Su. I think these colours would look nice on the cotton-silk. A pair of boxers perhaps?
This looks terrific rather than terrifying, Su! The rippling lines of pretty reptilian stripes make a very attractive pattern. I can see this design being popular for summer skirts, beach shirts or board shorts.
