This is wonderful Kelly!
Amazing <3 <3 love it!!
Thanks Ronny and Victoria! <P> Ronny - I used Photoshop and put a photograph of our church's window very faintly (33% opacity) on a layer below what I was typing - then I knew exactly how dark to make the type, how close to space the letters, when to switch from dark to light, etc. After I finished I toggled back and forth between seeing the photo plus text, and just the text, so I could see where I needed to tweak. I ended up copying and pasting the text layers several times one or two pixels over to darken them (and then erasing the copies where it needed to be lighter.) It isn't too hard that way - but yes it needs a lot of patience. For me I found it very meditative and calming (paste the phrase, adjust letterspacing, paste the phrase, adjust letterspacing) so I didn't mind the work. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do - it's fun to play with!
