I still think this is a great chevron! I love the way the black and white is softened by the grays... It would be great running horizontally too...

An inset into an inverted pleat in front of a tunic... Yes! Also in a pleated skirt that would be really sharp!

I have a Missoni sweater jacket that is a marled navy and turquoise and it has a zig zag rust border that is edged in an alternating black and white, that reminds me of a zippered edging. I think of this design as a possible edging for borders that can make about any color design to pop. I liked that about having the horizontals and verticals. Skirts and dresses would be nice the vertical designs. I also can imagine an inset into an inverted pleat in front of a tunic maybe. Thanks!
I love it that these matching designs have both a vertical and a horizontal version; just so helpful for sewing purposes... or even doing borders for curtains, say, & lots of other things.
