This "book" folds out into a pocket full of animals. Babies and toddlers will enjoy taking the animals out and putting them in over and over while they hear the Bible story. Older toddlers may also enjoy matching the animal pairs. A quarter yard of quilting weight or cotton silk will include pieces for the book and three pairs of animals. A quarter yard of sateen or other wide fabric will also give you Noah and a rainbow. To complete the project you will need needle and thread, batting or fusible fleece, a little stuffing, a piece of scrap fabric, and a 1" square of velcro.

Please note: Finished animals may be too small for young babies to play with without supervision.

Thank you! I am glad she is enjoying it! Some of the fabrics do fade more. I believe the synthetics tend to hold colors better than the organic fabrics.

Made this last year. Baby now Toddler has loved it. Only thing is, the fabric colors have faded fast.
:) My boys provided the inspiration.

This is a wonderful way to have interactive play with a story book!
Thank you. I hope he enjoys it. :)
This is so cute! I'm going to have to get one to make for my son. (It is a perfect quiet (and appropriate) toy for church!)

Noah's Ark Baby Book :
I used green piping, but it is optional and not included in the pattern.
After making this, I shifted the front cover a little in the file so the finished book will be better centered.
Noah makes for a tight fit, but he is bigger and a better toy for babies. The animals are better for toddlers. The rainbow is not stuffed. It is more like a flannel board cut-out. It's something older children will like when acting out the story.
I suggest not worrying about being too exact when cutting out and sewing the animals (unless you are sewing by hand). It's not a big deal if a little white shows around the edges.
