Cushion/pillow cover panels. Each cushion panel is 18 inches across. With an inch border you can adjust the size of your cushion as required from approximately 15.5 inches (which would take a 16 inch pad to create a nice plump cushion) to 17.5 (which should take an 18 inch pad).
On quilting weight or cotton silk you get 4 full panels to the yard. On the other materials you get 6.
If you just want 1, I suggest buying a fat quarter to get 1 full panel and using another material on the back.
