...then she went right back onto the moors. But here she is ~captured in time. A silhouette based on a painting by her brother, Branwell, over heather purple. An antique buckle and a lace doily frame her like her delicate health framed her stark soul. Charlotte would have approved; Emily would have shook her head and shrugged on her way out the door to roam the moors with her hawk, her massive dog and her ghosts.

oh! Thank you, Rhonda!

Sarah, you have conveyed an impression of classic Victorian Romanticism in this decorative cameo portrait of Emily Bronte!
That is very kind of you to say, Su. I am a Bronte-ite through and through and love incorporating them into my fabric, even when they would have laughed at it!
Has a very Victorian & claustrophobic feeling into it -all the things Emily hated, I guess. I find your description incredibly poetic & moving.
Thank you so much, everyone! I named my daughter after her, so I try to incorporate her and her family into as many designs as I can!
Love your historical work! (The title for this piece sounds like the title of one of my plays.)
