You have to be a senior citizen to remember the pre gas crisis days when gas stations were full service and the men who worked at the pumps wore uniforms. Of course, if you live in Oregon or New Jersey, there are still attendants to put the gas in your tank, but they don't wear hats like this or jackets. Which is what made me smile when I saw this ad in a 1940's magazine.
