I designed this fabric to cut in strips and cover a frame for an image I did scoring Paul Muldoon's Incantata. The line from
this beautiful epic poem I chose is as follows... You'd be aghast at the idea of your spirit hanging over this vale
of tears ...The story is of his long term lover who got cancer and had real faith she could heal herself naturally and the long journey to her eventual passing. Beautifully written, this Irish poet spills his anger (part of the grieving process) out over the frustration he says of her unconventional approach but really his inability to save her and her determination to save herself. This sounds like a bummer story but it is truly beautiful and I was honored to be one of 0 artist chosen to create art in response to this epic work of poetry.
