August 2012 1. Glue-stick Basic Combed Cotton to paper. 2. 8 Stitches per inch, machine sew cloth to paper where fringe meets center panel. 3. Use scissors to actually cut fringe into fringes, avoiding cutting through stitching. 4. Mold the throw over the object you wish to decorate (such as a paper-mache rocking chair). 5. Remove throw, flatten, spread a thin layer of tacky glue over the back of the throw. 6. Remold the throw over the object. Hold in place with your fingers and palms for 15 seconds. 7. If you've never done anything like this before, try with scraps first! Hint: Unlike paper piecing, you do not need to remove the paper. It keeps the glue from seeping through the fabric and helps it hold a crisp shape.
