Such a lovely tribute to your dad, Rhonda, makes this design all that much more special. :o)
I really love the subtle little color changes of the dahlia petals....so pretty Rhonda!
Thank you, Anino and Carole! I appreciate the positive feedback! Good idea, Carole! A blouse would be nice. I was thinking of using it in a frilly dress for a little girl. I was also pleased with how it looked as wallpaper and started thinking along the lines of a feminine bedroom with co-ordinated curtains and bedlinen. Don't you just love playing with all of the ideas that occur to you for using Spoonflower fabric and now there are decals and wallpaper to add to the fun?!

Oh i can see this on a nice little blouse. Lovely
Thank you for your sweet comment, ksantipa! When I was a child I didn't realise how lucky I was to grow up in a quiet country town with lots of fresh, clean air and open spaces to play in. Because my Dad was such a keen gardener, we always had an abundant supply of homegrown vegetables and fruit. Dahlias and roses were his special favourites but were not the only flowers that he grew. So yes, in hindsight I can say that those gardens were places of magic which grew some very special memories.
