This is so beautiful and I love majo_bv's idea of a silk blouse or a tea dress!

Thank you so much Majo!
I hadn't thought silk blouse, but now that you mention it....
I could be in big trouble!

I like this! It's simple, but works perfectly! I'm thinking a cute silk blouse, or even cotton pj's.
Thanks Rhonda! That's exactly what he was doing. This is based on a photo taken at a local reservoir that is stocked with carp. I was able to get within about 15 feet because egrets and herons gather at waters edge in a park that is heavily used by locals fishing, joggiing, and dog-walking. The fishermen throw the carp to the birds, which has resulted in them beginning to see people as a source of food. It has also, unfortunately, placed them in harm's way --- I saw countless egret feathers floating in the water that day (hence the title). I don't know if a dog got a bird or if some hooligan got the bird, but it was bittersweet to have such amazing access to these majestic birds and see how fragile their existence really is.
By the way, of all the designs I tried out, I loaded this one because I want to cover my desk chair with this fabric using the linen/cotton! :-)
This keen-eyed egret looks as though he is about to wade into the water to catch his lunch! The layout of your beautifully detailed bird drawings would make it easy for quilters to fussy cut them and use the fabric pictures as special motifs.
