Description:

These duckpins are ready to duck, dive, dodge, weave, side-step or simply fly away.

These duckpins are ready to duck, dive, dodge, weave, side-step or simply fly away. The current 3 duckpins are male and female mallards (wild ducks) and a white duck. Other colours, stylings, sizes and orientations are available on request and you can even ask for a combination of several designs together.

sef

sef says: Thanks. I do think it's a good joke, and I quite like my rendition of it, but I'm given to understand that such designs aren't very usable by normal people - who mostly tend to want tiny prints which can work in multiple directions rather than having to be displayed in a specific orientation (eg on curtains, bed covers or hawaiian shirts). Then again, they also tell me that woodland creatures are popular at the moment - hopefully not just for eating. :-/

sef

sef says: In the end, I let Glimmericks have free run on this particular joke in the contest. But the duckpins do get to have my profile banner slot for the week.

sef

sef says: I could definitely do without stuffed ducks (or any other animals) all over the house. The ducks I've seen around here are very much alive and stuffed with attitude instead.

mayabella

mayabella says: Yes I think they look cross. But in that sort of cute little kid getting mad cause you laughed when they did something goofy way. :). It's a very usable design as well. I think this fits into that whole woodland theme that us super popular right now. Plus I just think those malerd green headed ducks are neat. My childhood friends dad used to hunt them and had a bunch stuffed all over their house. Creepy.

sef

sef says: While I'm glad you like it, they're supposed to be cross rather than cute and the colours are merely duck colours (or as close as I could get to an average for the extremely speckled females). I'm surprised how much attention (in views) this one got straight away since it was only ever a simple joke one (I sketched the first duck as soon as they announced the contest but had no time to do it properly). It just shows how impossible it is for me to guess what the rest of you will like.

sef

sef says: For some of us, it seems the existence of "duckpins" is just too tempting an idea. Though normal duckpins are more squat and, as far as I can tell, don't generally look like ducks at all.
