The pineapples are obvious and bold. The other elements are the ocean, sunsets, birds, palm trees, coconuts, and flowers. I also tried to work in a little bit of a Tiki feel... why not throw in the kitchen sink, right? I know the applique and background color doesn't follow the exact traditional rules, but I also imagine cheater quilts aren't exactly traditional themselves ;)
