Vib, I do think the voile would be nice. I wonder how well it does for washing. I think I have a fear of it being too delicate.
Love this design, so simple and detailed at the same time. It's really beautiful and would make fantastic curtains or upholstery fabric :)
Just thinking, how about cotton voile for the curtains?

Looks wonderful! I totally agree with you on the translucid curtains, even before heaving read your comment :).
Maybe also upholstery would be a good idea.
I think the quilting weight would make great curtains to let the light come through. I sure hope the red is what I am envisioning.
I love how detailed this is!
A very worthwhile project, I am interested to know how the colours turn out. I had to go to the zoom to really see the colour gradations in the red. It is a lovely design.
