A great comparison Rhonda - makes me think of the Olympics Parade held in town today!
Posted about 4 years ago.
The colourful scrunchy lines of this design makes me think of bright paper streamers lying on water after a BIG celebration in the city! The printed fabric looks wonderful, Su!
Swatch comparison shows that the colors came out just a bit lighter on the silk-cotton than on the cotton sateen. However neither is the electric blue I have in my design image so I need to work on that.

That's very helpful, thanks so much, I might do two swatches to see what the actual difference is before deciding on fabric for yardage.
I did a silk test of the Zig Zag Dizzy on a swatch to see how the saturation would hold up on the silk and I like how it came out. It has some dark blue in it. The super saturated designs do well on the silk..........
I expect the silk would do well, since the richness of this design gives enough saturation for the silk to hold onto coloration more. I'd expect it to be maybe half as darker as it is on the monitor, I imagine.
Thank you! Do you think the electric blue would 'take' better on the cotton sateen or on the cotton silk? Or, what fabric would the electric blue come out best on printed?
I like that retro effect it gives. I bet it looks great on sateen.
Thanks Andrea: I think you have given me a useful set of tags there with your description "1950's arty beatnik meets 1980's retro". It printed well on the swatch but I'm keen to see it on shiny fabric to see just how electric it can get...
Very impressive and kind of 1950's arty beatnik meets 1980's retro. Quite nice.
