Great vibrant colors and hand drawn quality!

Thanks so much for your fab comment Jay, I would also like to think he would approve, he was a bit of a perfectonist though so I wouldn't be too sure!!

This is lovely! Good strong colors, nice repeat - I believe Mr. Morris would approve.
Thanks so much for your comment Grace....sorry didn't see it at the time, I'm a bit behind (well quite a lot behind actually hahaha!) but it's very much appreciated!!

such beautiful butterfly & tiger lily drawings! great design!
Thanks so much for your comments Heather, Creedance, Andrea and Cynthia, I'm really pleased to have so many wonderful comments....I only got through leaving about half of the comments I intended to before life interupted me (again) must finish them before the end of the contest!!! - Andrea, I must admit this colour combination has been growing on me, I couldn't stand it originally but when i did the other colourways I tried out many combinations and they weren't really working as well as the given palette ones. I do prefer the other colourways I did as they contain my favourite colours but I agree this one does have a dramatic untamed look that the others don't quite manage.
I think this turned out wonderfully! Very striking use of the color palette!

This one is gorgeous in any color combination.
But even though I didn't inherently like these colors any more than you did, you made them work so well, that I might like this version better than the one where you picked "better" colors.
What a great and intricate design!
Wow! This is spectacular! You've created a gorgeous & super lush design Jo!
Thanks for the comment Kathleen, I really appreciate it!
Thanks for the fab comments Phoebe, Raven and Kelly! So glad you like!! It's funny Kelly I originally was going to do a much more structured William Morris type symmetrical design but it just kinda grew wilder of its own accord as I drew it hahaaa!
p.s. having read all the comments now, I hope you keep channelling William Morris - you do him justice!
ooh, lush and lovely! I especially like how you rendered the twining grass/leaves...
Hard to put thoughts to words... but I WANTS it!
Wow, thanks so much for all the wonderful comments, it really means a lot coming from such amazing and talented designers such as yourselves, I mean my other half says he likes it but really what does he know? hahaa! Zoe - you are so right, the leaves are inspired by William Morris, I had all the books i could find in the library out on the arts and crafts movement and the pre-raphelites when i was doing my King Arthur design, I looked at nothing else for weeks, I now have William Morris designs burned onto my retinas....no bad thing actually hahaa!
great design!!!! :)
This is beautiful Jo! Such intricate details and an early 20th century feel to it.
So amazingly beautiful Jo!
My personal favorite. Fantastic!
I like the lacy effect of the butterfly wings, very pretty
WoW! this design is super beautiful! The repeat is amazing.
Coming back to stare at this beauty again. It's epically gorgeous, jo. Along with your lily pad design, you REALLY know how to create a beautiful floral!!!! LOVE.
Those leaves are sooooo William Morris. Beautiful design!
Just gorgeous, I love your take on the theme!
Oh thanks so much for all the fab comments folks!! It was a bit of a labour this one to be honest, my computer had a bit of a moment half way through and lost most of the work i'd done on it, so had to start over.....thought i wouldn't have enough time to finish it and ended up staying up till 3 or 4 in the morning for 4 days hahaha, i'm a bit computer blinded now, but yay it got done!!! So glad you all like it, it does look a bit wild and jungley doesn't it? The colours are growing on me a bit now i'm not staring at it all day every day, but i still think i'll prefer it when i've done some other colourways! Glad you think the sizing is good too, I always find sizing my designs the most difficult bit actually.
So lush! I love it. Also love the scale of it - would make a fab summer skirt!
ditto. looks fantastic! great repeat.
This is gorgeous! Wonderful repeat, beautiful lilies. It's especially lovely in the full yard.
Your dynamic design and bold colours give the impression of an untamed wilderness! Those curling tendrils and lip smacking tiger lily stamens seem to be hungry for a feast of butterfly wings!
I love your design, Joanne. It has a lovely, vintage feel. Your butterflies look wonderful fluttering among these amazing tiger lilies.
wahoo it's so savage! terrific work
This is A M A Z I N G !!! the repeat JS wonderful, and it just looks like the Amazonian jungle, hehehehe. I love it! I love how you drew the butterflies too with a long thorax.
wow ~ gorgeous! gorgeous with spirals too! hurrah! xxx
OMG, Jo this is fab!
Jo, this is truly stunning. I love it. Great balance, great use of color.
So stunning Jo, I love the intricate weaving in and out and the way the lilies almost seem to be chasing the butterflies!
great illustrations and I adore the use of colors!
Very lovely! I love your lilies. :)
Ooooh, lovely detail and depth. Love it, jo; glad you're back!
Gorgeous! This is completely beautiful and your repeat is fantastic. I think you did wonders with the palette myself. Bravo, Jo!
