My 3 year old drew his 'happy people' using a black pen. I scanned them in, cleaned the image slightly then pretty much gave him free rein with the tablet and a restricted pallet chosen by him. I love the way children have no fear of technology and just get on with it. (As this is Alfred's entry for the children's competition I want to make it clear that he is nearly 4, a preschooler, not a computer genius but curious. He drew his pictures, I scanned them and cleaned them up in photoshop. Alfred sat on my lap and using my tablet and pen coloured in and 'rubbed out'. I helped him copy and paste and use the layers. He was telling me what he wanted to do and what was happening as the whole process was a dynamic event for him. He understands that this is fabric and he wants to make it into 'a skirt for granny'! So please take into account that I, Mummy, helped with the computer, if you feel this constitutes too much adult involvement then don't vote for Alfred's design. Granny will still love it and we will make something for her using it.)
