This looks wonderful printed up, Anja! The fine detail on the pattern looks perfect!

Everywhere Silverware :
Congrats! Some how I missed this one. Amazing detail in crayon!
Congrats on top ten!!
Anja, I'd widen the application of your design and think about pillows and table runners, etc. Personally I'd be ok with the sateen or linen as a napkin...I haven't gotten the twill and I'm thinking it's got too much body for a napkin. But maybe someone with experience with the twill can answer this for you.

Oh my God. You are incredible! Thank you for your great feedback and many congratulations!
I'm not sure which material is the best for napkins. I (still) do not have cloth napkins.
@ Vo - thanks for your support
Yes, Cotton Sateen is beautiful, but maybe a little too thin?
Linen-Cotton Canvas is thicker but not pure white.
The Upholstery-Weight Twill is pure white, but maybe a little too thick?
I'm in two minds.
The design is now adapted to works with all three fabric widths. You get 6 napkins from each yard of fabric (and a few extra spoons, forks and knives on the Sateen and Twill)
Now I just have to decide, which fabric works best for me.
Has anyone any experience with cloth napkins?
Congrats Anja! Amazing how you made crayons look live silver! You're a creative alchemist is what you are! :D
Congratulations on the top ten place, Anja!
Great to see you in top ten, your designs are always stellar and this is no exception!
I find the sateen a beautiful fabric with great color. What I've seen of the linen is beautiful. Both fabrics seem to have a richer print in terms of color than than the quilting weight.
This is so well done-Congratulations!
Wow! Thank you all so much for your support, votes and lovely comments! This weekend I will try to make a better repeat for optimum utilization of the fabric width and then I will order a test swatch. (Which material you would choose for napkins? Organic Cotton Sateen, Upholstery-weight twill or Linen-Cotton Canvas?) I'm thrilled about reaching the top ten. Thanks again to all of you!
Congrats Anja! Whoooo hoooooo for top 10!
Congratulations anja! Can't wait to see them printed up!
yey! congrats for top ten!!! :D
I love that this made the top 10!
Wonderfully done, congratulations on top ten!
Congratulations on top 10!
Thank you Drea. Glad you like it! I'm very curious to see how it will look printed.
I like the special effect of the wax crayons very much. First, the small bits of wax appears slightly disturbing to me, but I looked at my old silver cutlery and there are really such small dark areas.
You did such a good job making these look real! Great work!
You are all so great! I really love to read your lovely comments.
Many, many thanks. I am very happy that you like this design.
Beautiful illustration! Makes a fun napkin! I could see it as a dining room seat cover too.
well done! fun and lovely, and I love the rhythm set up by the rotation of the design. Great job with the subtle colors, too.
This is fabulous.
Great tabletop design!
Wow impressive use of crayons! Great idea for a napkin
So beautifully done, tabletop perfection!
Amazing!!! I'm blown away by your silverwear drawings. They look ready to be picked up and stuck into some food!
Wow this is awesome! Talented artist!! I love silverware used in graphic prints/designs

Woh, thanks for your great comments! I am so glad you like it. When I saw this contest theme I thought I have to go and buy some crayons first. But then I found an old package. I can not remember when I used them the last time. Probably in the school. It was fun to draw with them again.
I am so impressed by the amazing lustrous silver sheen that you have achieved in these sets of crayon cutlery drawings! Anja, I love your quirky humour idea of, "ironing the silver"!
awesome design, really cool for a napkin! :D
wow, you're flatware looks amazing, what a cool idea for a napkin!
great design! perfection!
Wow - gorgeous! This was done with crayons?! Absolutely amazing! I am very impressed! (And so happy that I didn't enter the design I made with silverware because it looks juvenile by comparison! Ha ha ha)
Very nice! I think this would make a great napkin! :)
