I did this combination of patterns because I wanted to use my new Koi Pond pattern for some gores of a long dress, but because it is a one-way pattern, it would cut very inefficiently. I meant this set of patterns crosswise on one piece of fabric to be used to cut out gores for a long skirt or empire waist dress. The gores fit together with the hem of one at the left selvage, the next on the right. The flare is only 2 to 1 - it's meant that you gather the top down to your waist. Three yards give a hem circumference wide enough. I consider 120 inches to be a minimum for a long skirt or dress, more for a larger person. You could use the 2 end pieces for the bodice and pockets of the dress, or sew them together for the 6th gore. (There are matching fabrics too to use for bodice and sleeves, including the fish border.) This is laid out for the 54inch wide linen-cotton.
