Thanks babysisterrae. Tallulaha and fabgirl, I like both of your ideas for making a shower curtain. Thanks also for the tip about the waterproofing spray!
Hi Amel! I don't know if it is OK to mention other companies on the Spoonflower site, but I have used a waterproofing spray from a company called Trek7. You can buy it on line, and it is a miracle product!! It will make your Spoonflower fabric waterproof. I have actually used it on my Spoonflower prints and it works beautifully. I used it on both the cotton/linen and on the quilting weight fabrics. Water just beads up and rolls off. Makes for a super shower curtain, outdoor pillow, or even a rain coat. :)
super awesome design and nice colors as per usual!
Amel, my Mom has always used a plain plastic shower curtain that hangs inside the bath-tub, and then uses normal fabric as a decorative layer over the outside of the plastic curtain. The fabric layer hangs outside of the tub. When the plastic layer gets mildewy and has to be thrown out, the outside layer is still in good shape. Just wash it when it needs it and hang it back up. Mom has done this for about 50 years, no problem. Just make sure you use one of the Spoonflower fabrics that handles dampness well, since bathrooms get steamy.
Thanks for your comment Rhonda- I wish that Spoonflower made waterproof fabric because I would make a shower curtain out of this design !
There are so many ways that this fun fabric could be used, from tablecloths and tea towels to kids' pyjamas! The bright colours of the fish look great on the tangy green background.
Ooh- thanks everyone. This was a fun design to do!
Very funny! And yes, great colors too! Sweet job, Amy!
Really nice use of colour and great sentiments too. Good Luck.
Hilarious close-up and adorable in a yard- -love the crisp green!
This is so much fun Amy!!! Great color palette too!
