The smaller items are little posts to block the maze formed by the puzzle pieces. The puzzle pieces are adorned with snips of several designs and like-designed pieces may or may not quite fit together (I eye-balled the repeats for them).
Posted about 5 years ago.
I also like subtle details in the designs. I can see that you have something here; but can't quite tell what the smaller items are. I see glowing balls, and what appears to be a golden snitch. I feel like I want to cut this apart and try to put the pieces together; but could I? (I suspect not).
What I meant to say is that there is a certain folksy style that tends to dominate the upper third of the contest voting. It's just a little too syrupy for my Klingon/Vulcan hybrid tastes but I guess it is what the rest of the world (at least the voting world) likes. I like the more sophisticated designs and the ones with subtle details embedded in them.
I have no clue at all about contests voting ways of people, I end up most of the times quite surprised :D my only rule till now, is to have something that is well-viewable in FQ...
I was torn on whether to go with this or try something else. I produced three general designs (with two variations) for the puzzle contest. Guess I'll stick with the 'shrooms - everyone seems to like cutesy more than graphic impact in the contests.
great design for fabric :) :) love it!
