I tried out some more colour combinations within my last lot of swatch tests. So I've made a sample kit for a few options.

Thus far I've only proofed it on Spoonflower in these colours and in black (ie as a split swatch). I've done more colour variants as cards for people. I'm still working on establishing the codes for my favourite berry colours here.

Would love to see this in a few other colorways!
I've already test printed the black and white (alongside the fruity version). Any bold/darkish single colour would work. I think one might have to be more careful choosing sets of colours to go together though.
This is a great design. I'm sure it will be wonderful in black and white, or blue & white too.
It's the sort of thing I do all the time for personal greetings cards (birthdays etc). I wrote my own pattern software a couple of decades or so ago for generating such designs and just keep porting it around (and adding to it), as computer systems and languages evolve. Of the circular repeats, some options mesh together into a further 2D lattice better than others do. Whereas they stand alone just fine on a card. The trick is going to be in not filling up Spoonflower with loads of them without much intention of testing them all myself nor having any actual customers!
This is a fantastic design.
