Words fail me on this epic design. I love your illustrative art with its beautiful flow and coloring. Glimmericks had it right in her comment, that a coffee-table book of your art is in order!

Thank you so much Ritzsa and Amiehammond! I am so glad Yggdrasil loved her quilt, Ritzsa, I love her name! Amie, the full repeat is 48" so any bolt that is larger than that will get you the full repeat then some. Even the bolts that are 42" get all of the myths, just not too much rainbow sky. If you hit "yard View and then go in to each type of fabric you can see how much you'll get. Thanks!

how much do we need to purchase to get the full panel? It is glorious!!
I used this fabric to make a quilt for my niece whose name is Yggdrasil -- she LOVED it!
can you confirm that to get a full panel you need to buy 5yds?

I LOVE this and waht to make some baby carriers out of it, is it possible to get this in a smaller print so that most of the image fits on?

I just can't say enough about your art- amazing! Words don't do it justice and your wonderful, strange sense of humor shown in some of your other pieces just makes me giggle and laugh!
Thank everybody for the sweet words ands ego boost. I'm really happy with 13, it's one of my favorite numbers! Laura, I need to get a yard of this in to make sure the gradient blend works fine and if it does, I'll make it available for sale and let you know. Thanks for the interest!

this is simply gorgeous! I want to make it into an altar cloth. are you going to release it for sale?
13th? I really thought this would be top ten, at least.
May not be top ten, but congrats on #13, Cean! Lovely design!
Your ability to create a beautifully detailed border design that holds meaning is phenomenal, Cean. This is most amazingly wonderful, it really speaks to me.
Wow! Cean I don't know how you do it.. you must be an artistic machine! Another beauty!
Thank so much for all of the sweet comments, everybody!
Totally stunning and amazing as always Cean! I just love this bright and beautiful design, so intricate and full of unbelievably wonderful details. I love mythology in general and norse mythology in particular....this is a fantasic rendition of some of it's epic tales....superb job!
Absolutely gorgeous, Cean! You should illustrate a children's Norse Myths book!!! :)
Oh my gosh, Cean, this is just magnificent...superb...beyond belief!!
Fabulous design, love your rendition of the Norse Mythology.
History, myth, and fashion, all in one.
I totally want to buy this and make a child's summer dress.
wow, this is amazing!
WOW!! Amazing :)
wow...i'm blown away!
Wonderful Design Cean!
Am I watching the movie "Thor"? This is superb! Please do not say that you don't think you have a chance of winning, because I'm gonna vote for you, and you're already a winner.
Wow- what a great design - complex and interesting - the tree is amazing :) I always wait to see what you come up with! you never disappoint!
So glad you didn't scrap it! Its beautiful and unique! Its great to have a piece of art that you can keep discovering things about every time you look at it. =)
Thanks everybody for making all the time worth it with your nice comments! I really appreciate the good vibes, but really I don't think this has a chance on winning, it's too over the top and crammed up with norse whatnots and I was 6 seconds away from scrapping it, but realized I had wasted a week's worth of free time and needed to finish it. I'm happy I did and one day I'll make my three folk tale borders into wall hangings and actually use them, maybe.
The whole enchilada.....or the Norse equivalent of an enchilada.
ceanirminger uploaded a fabric image for
Yggdrasil, The World Tree (zoom for full panel) :
FWTWEEET! The whistle blows - unsportsmanlike conduct! It's like running up an extra 100 points in the second half just to prove you can do it. You've won, you've won. We give up already! If some mushroom with big anime eyes and a tiny smile wins this one we all will know that the voting system just doesn't work! Seriously - you need to put out a coffee table book of your big designs. Each is a treasure.
Totally epic! I mean, realllly epic!
oh my gosh, that's so impossible to do it all.
...ridiculous in a good way, of course:)
Shut the front door, you are ridiculous, Cean.
Flippin' brilliant. Dead lock for Top Ten if not NUMBER ONE!
Wow. This is amazing. The largeness and scope of it is so wonderful.
Thanks everyone! This behemoth nearly did me in. I really bit off more than I could chew, and even now I see things I want to add to it or fix up, but it's already an overblown monster, or as my husband expertly put it, "wow.... that's a lot to look at." Glimmericks, this was drawn on two 18" x 24" sheets of paper with Valhalla drawn separately and then I just Frankensteined it all together and prayed it would upload. Never again. It fried my brain.
Oh wow this is... I'm... golly... oh... Another design of yours leaving me speechless it's so good/fantastic/amazing/I need a thesaurus...Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!
Masterful! How do you do such big designs? I keep running out of bit space when I do larger images. You've clearly outshown all of us with this one. Whoo Hoo!
This is a spectacular design, Cean! You have included so many fascinating details harvested from Norse mythology in this fabulous fibre artwork. Every time I look at it I see something else to ooh! and aah about!
I'm with jillian_morris, I want to see it all at once, right side up, and big! :)
Well played, Irminger, well played. ;) It's a visual buffet that's making my eyes fatter with every intricate detail!
Soo Incredible Cean! I want to see it all at once poster sized! Fabric sized would work too :). Awesome work!
I'm with Annelie. You're a dynamo of creative energies! And sooooo talented. Seriously, did you write this folk tale too?
Congratulations! oops ~ bit early, but hey ;) Awesome, obviously. love xxx
Yeah! Great job, Cean! Every level is a great design in itself! Beautiful! Good luck in the contest!
This is gorgeous Cean, looks like another winner to me!
Are you kidding me? This would take another person THREE YEARS to finish!! Holy mackerel! Impressive!!
The Valkyries, the rainbow bridge Bifrost, and Loki and the giant Thiassi, who caught Loki while in eagle form and made him steal the Aesir's apples of eternal youth in exchange for freedom.
Asgard, Odin on eight legged Sleipnir and Freya with her cat drawn carriage and her boar, Hildisvini.
The wolf Fenrir and a Jotnar giantess...
The world of the dwarves, with the midgard Serpent coiling around the roots of Yggdrassil.
