This design is based on an old folk tale I remember hearing has a kid. A woman wore a yellow ribbon around her neck (in some versions, it was a red ribbon or a red bandana). She met a guy who was curious and asked her but she told him she say why later. They get married and grow old together, all the time with her wearing the yellow ribbon around her neck. Finally, she was on her deathbed, and her husband asked her again about the yellow ribbon. She gives him permission to untie the ribbon, so he does. His wife's head falls off her neck. This design was inspired by 'Yellow Ribbon - A Spooky Wisconsin Story' retold by S.E. Schlosser.
