A tessellation of symbolic arrows in 2 directions and dither gradient colours.
This design started as a test of various linear dither patterns to cope with the lack of usable gradient fills on Spoonflower. However, they could also be usable as economic indicator arrows or temperature change ones or even port and starboard - with a colour change (and in the other orientation). Other colours, sizes and orientations are available on request and you can even ask for a combination of several designs together.

Since this old one is getting all the attention, I've clearly entered the wrong design again! :-D

Oh, very patriotic. red state? Blue state? who knows? This pattern's inspiring me to study how to do tesselations.
My fabric sample is from ages back - and printed with a mixture of different dithers to find out which one worked best. Plus I don't have the same eyes as you. With the v2 colour profile, though, it isn't so necessary to use dithers to move between colours at all - because more of the gradients work adequately well on their own.
Wow! Makes a very striking design - they constantly shift so either red or blue appears in the foreground - I find I get blue foregrounding more often (it reminds me of some of those eye tests...) I really wonder whether you get the same effect when it is printed on fabric?
