Victoria - I must have been out of town or something when you left your comments. It does look like a sandy bottom, doesn't it?

Maria José - The background was a happy accident. I drew and layered repeats of the same image and then applied a pastel gradient to them. I used to have a very nice koi pond until a band of 5 raccoons invaded.
Very beautifully done!
BEAUTIFUL! the background is amazing! did you created? oh! and the fishies look so clueless... they have no idea what's coming * *
I love the colors, and the bubbles, and the way it seems as though the sun is glinting off a sandy bottom rippled from the movement of the water.
Wow, Rhonda! Thanks for the fabulous commentary. Your descriptions are pure poetry and I look forward to reading them. I decided to embed this design in a larger design for my fishing entry.
This is a fabulous design, Pamela! The fractured pattern of soft, watery colours is perfect to convey the flicker of glinting sunlight on the surface of the pond. The bright orange fish seem to dart to and fro against this gorgeous background.
Thank you! :)
I love how the sun feels through the water in your design, very nice! :)
