A long, long, long time ago, back in the Dreamtime, the Rainbow Serpent lived and slept. When it woke it came out of the ground and gouged the landscape into existence, creating mountains, gorges, rivers and waterholes as it traveled across the land. As it has not been seen for a long, long time it is presumed to be extinct... but is it? © Su Schaefer 2011
