A selection of fantasy critters based on polyhedral dice and inhabiting a dungeon maze backdrop.
A selection of fantasy critters based on polyhedral dice and inhabiting a dungeon maze backdrop. 8" repeat.
The octaherring appears to be in trouble. While the dodecahelion might just want a platonic relationship, the hexahedron collider troll looks none too friendly and the tetrahawk is positively predatory. The icosahydra's intentions are inscrutable.
This design could easily be made available in the other orientation or in different colours on request. You can even ask for a combination of several designs together. The show-cased critters here also have a few friends back home, still stuck in the dungeon, if anyone was interested in encountering them.

Thanks. I'm definitely not normal.

hehehe, as a D&D player I really enjoy these! Quite the fun imagination you have :)
Having said that, though, a typical D&D monster tends to be about "man-sized" (with some smaller and some giant-sized of course). I envisioned these ones as being mostly up to waist or chest height (with the bird forms needing a large wingspan), running or rolling around, bumping into people and stomping on their feet etc etc.

A typical spider or cockroach tends to be the size of a normal die and lots of people don't want to run into those. Then there are the small but dangerous scorpions. One can fit a lot of bad attitude into quite a tiny package.
Great idea! I wouldn't want to run into any of them in a maze. Unless of course they are the size of normal dice!
The colours are new and could be changed to almost anything. Originally these were black and white inked drawings as part of the incidental artwork I did for a sci-fi fantasy gaming convention. (Those things tend to have an official programme magazine, which needs content, and membership badges. Nowadays, eg with T-shirt printing having become much easier, they might do themed clothing too.)
Pretty cool. I like the bright colors and their funny faces. Well done Sef. :)
Are these real boys or imaginary ones?
this is fantastic. defiantly one the boys would enjoy.
