Fabric width by 12" repeat of flame flowers receding into the distance (as if floating towards or away) - arranged so that the fabric width is the length (and best seen in the yardage views).
The Flame Flower story-book includes a lot of traditional pagan English folk-tale elements (such as a wise woman, talking to bees, trees and winds having humanoid spirits). The magical flower doesn't play a huge role in it but is linked there to another folk name for the marsh marigold being the kingcup. In my various imaginings, though, the flower tends to look more like a waterlily.
Currently displaying flame on azure. Other colours, sizes and orientations are available on request and you can even ask for a combination of several designs together
