I was also able to make some embellished dish towels with the fabric! I am selling these on www.etsy.com!

I was able to make a total of four place mats with the yard of quilting weight cotton I bought. These are all four folded up so you can see them all. The colors in the picture are a bit dark. I just can't seem to convince my toddler and baby to let me go outside by myself during the day for a photo shoot!
A placemat made with the quilting weight cotton. I used white cotton canvas for the back.
Just a reminder to anyone who hasn't voted in the ice cream contest...get thee to the polls!
Thank you so much! This was a very fun design to do! I am thrilled you like it! =)
Oh this is so fab Rachel! A brilliant idea to have it as a multiple use project design! It would be fantasic as a table cloth for a party! love the bright colours and bold illustrations. I also love the ingredients around the icecream bowls....great touch!
Thank you so much, Ann! I really appreciate your wonderful comment! I am very excited about this collection and I can't wait to start sewing now that some of it has arrived!
My camera is not very good about lighting. The colors are brighter in real life...look just like the actual design image. The brown looked a little red to me so I have already adjusted the brown in the design to be a little bit darker. I have used this darker brown before and it has turned out great. I can't wait to make my placemats with this!

I think practicality of a design for fabric and the possibilities it leads to is key in deciding and your design lends much to that Rachel. Best wishes for a win!
Thank you, kezia!
What a lovely cheerful design! Really nice.
Thank you so much! I loved making the whole collection. I am glad you noticed the theme squares! I started out with the four different squares with their components as decorations. My favorite is the bubblegum one! Thanks again!
What a bright and fun collection. This is sure to set the right mood for a party. I love how you show what flavour is in each bowl by the little illustrations surrounding it.
Wow...thank you so much everybody! What a wonderful surprise to wake up to this morning! Three of the designs are supposed to ship out from Spoonflower on Friday and I am planning to place the rest on order today. I am really excited about this design and I can't wait to sew with it. =)
absolutely party style! I can actually imagine the whole collection used in a fun and hot summer party :-D
Oh what a fun idea we will be needing your set for sure !!!! I love the colors :)
Very nice - I want these placemats! I love the green, very festive and fun!
Ice Cream Party Theme is right...this entire collection is so much fun! I love the colors and the design!
Thank you! (In my family, food gets EVERYWHERE!)
This design is bright, cheerful and loads of sweet fun! It would be great as a party tablecloth as no-one would know if some of the party food had landed where it shouldn't! This vibrant novelty fabric would be a wonderful print to use in a child's quilt
